PBS Welcomes Our newest PhD Students for Fall 2020

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences is pleased to welcome our newest PhD students beginning in the fall of 2020. 

 

 

Yong Hoon Chung joins Viola Störmer's BrainStörmer Lab with interests in visual working memory, visual attention, visual perception, EEG, fMRI, and psychophysics. Yong received his undergraduate degree from University of California, San Diego.

 

 

 

 

Jane Han joins James Haxby's Haxby Lab with interests in neurocinematics, fMRI, and cognitive neuroscience. Jane received her undergraduate degree from Sungkyunkwan University.

 

 

 

 

 

Alexis Kidder joins Brad Duchaine's Social Perception Lab with interests in interaction of memory and visual processing, and in using neuroimaging methods to better understand the neural correlates of prosopagnosia and abnormal visual processing. Alexis received her undergraduate degree from SUNY Geneseo.

 

 

 

 

 

Jisu Lee joins Alireza Soltani's Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience Lab with an interest in computational neuroscience. Jisu received her undergraduate degree from Yonsei University.

 

 

 

 

Clara Sava-Segal joins Emily Finn's Functional Imaging and Naturalistic Neuroscience Lab with interests in learning & memory, individual differences, cognitive development, language, and brain network dynamics. Clara received her undergraduate degree from University of Chicago.

 

 

 

 

Arati Sharma joins Katherine Nautiyal's NAUTIYALAB with interests in neural basis of impulsive behavior decision-making, and computational modeling. Arati received her undergraduate degree from Mount Holyoke College.

 

 

 

 

 

Lindsey Tepfer joins Mark Thornton's SCRAP Lab with interests in social cognition, decision making, and fMRI. Lindsey received her undergraduate degree from Temple University.

 

 

 

 

 

Erica Townsend joins Kyle Smith's Neuroscience of Reward and Action Lab with an interest in communication of value and reward. Erica received her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech.

 

 

 

 

 

 Jae Hyung Woo joins Alireza Soltani's Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience Lab with interests in role of attention in decision making and neural mechanisms of cortico-subcortical interaction. Jae received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University.

 

 

 

Wasita Mahaphanit joins Luke Chang's Computational Social Affective Neuroscience Lab with an interest in how we learn social cognitive maps and use this information in how we communicate and make decisions. Wasita received her undergraduate degree from Brown University. Her hometown is Portland, Maine.
