PBS Welcomes New Assistant Professor Emily Finn

PBS is pleased to welcome new Assistant Professor Emily Finn, who joined our faculty in the summer of 2020. Professor Finn's research combines behavioral, neuroimaging and computational techniques to study individual differences in cognition, especially under rich, dynamic, "naturalistic" stimulation such as watching movies or listening to stories. One goal of this work is to develop better diagnostic and prognostic tools for mental illness, by understanding which individuals are most at risk and why. Professor Finn earned her PhD from Yale University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health. Finn will be teaching PSYC 60: Principles of Human Brain Mapping with fMRI in winter 2021.
